The DREMA trade fair is underway. What's on the agenda today?
Wednesday at the DREMA 2025 Fair will be marked by inspiring discussions, practical knowledge, and industry meetings. It is a particularly important day for representatives of the wood and furniture industry—both business leaders and technologists looking for new solutions.
10th National Furniture Congress
The most important event of the day is the 10th anniversary National Furniture Congress under the slogan “Polish furniture – competitive Poland.” From early morning, representatives of the largest companies, industry organizations, and experts from Poland and abroad gather in the exhibition halls. The program includes a lecture by Krzysztof Mrówczyński (Bank Pekao S.A.) on the current situation and prospects for the sector, as well as a panel discussion on the future of the industry in the context of rising costs and limited availability of raw materials.
The speech by Janusz Piechociński, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, who will discuss the condition of the Polish and global economy in 2025, promises to be particularly interesting. Also worth noting is the panel on the globalization of the furniture market, which will feature Jarosław Michniuk (Paged) and representatives of European and American trade media.
Technologists' Forum
The Technologists' Forum will be held in parallel, attracting practitioners and enthusiasts of innovative solutions in the industry, as it does every year. A series of lectures on new technologies, investment financing, and the future of furniture production will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Particularly noteworthy are:
- a presentation by Karen Koenig from the American Woodworking Network on technological advantages in the US market,
- a speech by Agnieszka Maciąg (Industrial Development Agency S.A.) on investment financing,
- Mieczysław Lewicki's lecture on the applications of artificial intelligence in knowledge analysis and innovations related to biomass,
- and a session devoted to modern technologies in the production of wooden windows, led by Andrzej Głuchowski (ITA).
Those interested in market practice will find the lecture by the Polish Floor Layers Association on the problems of installing wooden floors particularly valuable, as well as the presentation by Tomasz Gawroński (Fide) on IT systems as a cost reduction tool.
